Welcome to Notsolatin

Founded in 2018 by Latin musicians as a community gathering space, Notsolatin is a performance venue recording studio, and cultural center in Philadelphia. Known as the "Tiny Desk Concert House of South Philly", we are home to a community of artists who use our space to develop their work and to share it with a dedicated and intimate listening audience. We hope to provide a platform for cultural exchange that will deepen community ties and understanding in our neighborhood and beyond.

Notsolatin is a place for artists to achieve and share their highest creative potential.

To support artists, culture, and community through intimate and meaningful concert experiences.

Programming and Projects

Concert Series

Our primary program is the Notsolatin Concert Series, a diverse lineup of 80–100 shows per year that has been running since 2022. Performances highlight a spectrum of Philadelphia-area musicians and artists, as well as internationally-renowned performers spanning a huge diversity of genres, cultural representations, and career stages. Notsolatin Concert Series is intentionally accessible and welcoming, with affordable donation-based pricing and a warm community atmosphere in an actual home.

Opportunities for Emerging Artists

We provide avenues for emerging artists to present their work and receive high-quality documentation of their performance. See “booking” for more information on how emerging artists are defined and selected for inclusion in our series.

Workspace for Artists

Notsolatin is a valuable space not just for performance, but is also available to the community as a high-quality recording studio, teaching studio, and rehearsal space. Local artists are eligible to rent our space for affordable hourly rates.

Collaborative Programming

Notsolatin has built a trusted reputation for its robust network of incredible artists and excellence in curation and programming. We are proud to partner with local organizations including the Philadelphia Ethical Society, Free Library of Philadelphia, and WRTI 90.1 FM.
